The right nutritional diet is one of the most important and effective aspects to successful body building. Simply put, if you want to learn how to build muscle fast, you need to learn the basics. The idea of going to the gym and lifting weights all day but not eating right when you get out, is simply preposterous. Your body and muscles need a consistent flow of high protein foods in order to fix and repair themselves.
A consistent flow does not mean drinking one protein shake immediately after your workout and then going to McDonald’s for the rest of your day’s intake. The reason you need this flow of protein is because protein is what repairs the micro tears in your muscles after a workout; however, your body does not store protein very well which is why you need to supply it with several doses throughout the day, this is essential if you are trying to learn how to build muscle and not gain fat. This of course, can be quite a challenge!
One common misconception is that when you don’t go to the gym, you can eat whatever you want and that somehow, these days don’t count. Really, you should always try to get some amount of protein into your diet, but technically, you should continue your high protein diet (throughout the day) for at least 2 days after you have a high intensity work out; if you can’t remember that, then just remember, sore muscle mass, means more food.
