  • From Welfare to Financial Prosperity - My Story

Posted on March 4th, 2010 admin No comments

This is a bit of a personal blurb that may interest you if you’re on welfare or any other kind of government assistance. The fact is, that no matter what your situation is currently, it can be overcome with diligence, hard work and faith in God.

    Never Give Up.

There was a time in my life, where I didn’t know where my next meal was going to come from. Too proud to apply for welfare, when I did have money to get food, rather than go to the grocery store and buy a few essentials, I would go to an all you can eat buffet, and try to eat enough that I would be good for a couple days. I was living in a hotel that didn’t have a refridgerator, so storing perishable food was not an option. This was a very dark time in my life, where I felt like I had very few options.

I was working as a private investigator of all things, and had been evicted from my apartment. With too much pride to ask my family for any help, I went out and rented one of those $100.00 a week motels.

    Believe me, it was tough.

I worked hard though, went without food sometimes when it got close to payday, as much of my money was used for expenses such as gas and general travel. It was very strenuous and was that way for a good two months.

I don’t know why, but I just had a survival instinct that kept me from ever thinking about giving up. I managed to finally rent a modest apartment and furnish it with furniture from Kmart. This was my first step moving forward.

Scraping up change and working as many hours as I could, I finally purchased a more reliable car after shopping around at a few buy here pay here car dealers. This wasn’t the cheapest way to get transportation, but I was desperate and the recent financial troubles that I had, prevented me from being able to get a normal car loan.

Once I had an apartment and a car, the stress of life started to lessen. I had spent three hard years struggling to make it in the world. My parents, had sort of kicked me to the curb.

    That was 8 years ago.

Today - I make over $10,000.00 a month as a marketer. When I started, I didn’t know how to send an email. I taught myself how to build computers, run Photoshop, Dreamweaver and learned the in’s and out’s of how internet marketing works. I literally created (by the grace of God) a six figure income. I have over 72 sites that I’ve built and managed.

    Is it easy?

No and the same survival instinct that got me through those tough times, remains with me today in everything that I do.

You can accomplish absolutely anything that you put your mind to. There is nothing stopping you but yourself. I don’t care where you live, what you drive or what your circumstances are. You can better yourself and change your life by working hard and absolutely, never giving up on anything that you pursue.
