  • Going To The Dentist When You Have A Phobia

Posted on June 28th, 2010 admin No comments

The other day I was eating some caramel corn when I realized that I was chewing on something that was NOT caramel corn but my tooth.  I don’t mean like a small chip, but more like my whole tooth.  I have been needing to go to the dentist forever but my phobia of going to the dentist has delayed me. I had been experiencing several issues with my teeth so I am now faced with having to go no matter what.  A friend referred me to a painless dentist for complex dental problems that also specializes in dentistry for busy executives.  Exactly what I was looking for.

When I showed up for my appointment, I was so sick to my stomach.  I just about got in my car and left again but I knew that I had to go in or I was going to end up looking like snaggle tooth.

The receptionist was so friendly, making feel very comfortable.  She handed me the necessary paperwork to be filled out and asked if she could get me something to drink.  She explained why their office was considered to be a painless dentist for complex dental problems.  Because the dentist also suffered from the same phobia that I did, he explained that painless dental injections could be commonplace when the right technique was used, especially when it came from a dentist who cared.  Their office also performed dental implants, gum surgery, extractions, all that was done patient pain free. Wow.  The nerves were starting to ease.  They have several different locations that offer early morning appointments along with evening appointments which makes him the perfect dentistry for busy executives AND he also is a painless dentist for complex dental problems.  I felt like I hit the lottery.

I know that I am going to have a long road ahead of me as which the amount of work that I am going to have to have done, but just knowing that I found a painless dentist for complex dental problems did ease the stress so much more. Plus I was not going to end up looking like snaggle tooth after all.
