The Aromatherapy Store is given to simplifying and taking the enigma and confusion  out of the,sometimes vexing, world of essential oils and aromatherapy. As an industry and an art,  started within the unsophisticated realms of cottage and home remediations, we search to make the oil’s benefits lucid and visible to all. Organic or Not Organic?

We seed our oils from minor independent producers in India, China, South East Asia , Eastern Europe and the Southern Mediterranean area. Where accomplishable we try to origin from organic manufacturers who farm and crop responsibly. However this isn’t constantly practicable – and in particular this is typical of producers and individuals cultivating the soil in disadvantaged areas of India and China. These people are often cultivating plants in a micro holding sites and as such cannot afford to devote their land to organic yield. They oftentimes grow the plants for essential oils alongside vegetables and fruit for sale to the localised food markets, ans as such  depend on localised marketplaces and purchasers – and in a poor country their purchasers cannot afford to pay off a premium when they themselves are living on a hand to mouth basis. These individuals can see ‘organic produce’ as the opulence of more well-off nations.
