Our Aim

The Aromatherapy Store is devoted to simplifying and taking the mystery and confusion  out of the,sometimes mystifying, world of essential oils and aromatherapy. As an industry and an art,  started within the easygoing realms of cottage and home cures, we try to make the oil’s benefits translucent and open to all. Whether youre an practiced Aromatherist,  a Fully Qualified Massage Therapist, or just a person who is waking to the wonderful characters of aromatherapy and the use of essential oils, we trust you’ll detect what youre looking for here.

Organic or Not Organic?

We seed our oils from little individual manufacturers in India, China, South East Asia , Eastern Europe and the Southern Mediterranean region. Where possible we try to source from organic manufacturers who grow and cultivate with conscience. However this isn’t constantly doable – and in particular this is true of producers and people molding the land in disadvantaged regions of India and China. These individuals are oftentimes cultivating plants in a limited holding positions and as such cannot afford to devote their ground to organic production. They often grow the plants for essential oils alongside vegetables and fruit for sale to the localised grocery stores, ans as such  depend on localized market places and buyers – and in a poor country their buyers cannot afford to give a premium when they themselves are experiencing on a hand to mouth footing. These people can see ‘organic produce’ as the luxuriousness of more blessed nations.

At The Aromatherapy Store, we as a company aim to work together with these self-supporting producers, who fall below even the sonars of Fair Trade Industry organisers and establish mutually positive economic and business kinships and we’ll be featuring individual producers chronicles in the forthcoming calendar months so you’ll get a chance to view who is benefiting from the commerce that passes here in the West!
